Be Prepared® Program

Be Prepared before a health crisis

Don’t wait until a medical emergency or a crisis strikes to realize you or a loved one needs help or care at home. Respite care is not always available immediately in an emergency UNLESS you are signed up in Regal’s “Be Prepared”® Program.

To be sure the care you need is available when and where you want it, our Client Service Specialists will walk you through all the necessary paperwork so that authorization forms are filled out, insurance verification is done, and the financial arrangements are agreed upon in advance so that when you pick up the phone to request a nurse or a caregiver, they can be on their way in minutes!

Regal clinicians can do an assessment prior to start of care if that is your preference or when care actually begins. In the meantime, we will be sure to have these items on file for you:

     ~  Medication/Physician profile

     ~  Authorization for service

     ~  Confirmation of services requested

     ~  Transportation release

     ~  Insurance verification

     ~  Credit card form

Regal’s Be Prepared® program is invaluable when the patient will need additional assistance in meeting the medical goals after discharge, is a fall risk in the home, starting to develop dementia or starting to experience cognitive or physical decline and is in need of supervision and physical assistance. There is no fee for the Be Prepared® account set-up, only the regular fees for services once they begin.

Hurricane Preparedness Program: In the event of a Tropical Storm orHurricane 2 Hurricane, Regal has a Hurricane Preparedness Team that can visit with the Senior or elderly loved one in their home, verify whether or not the residence is in an evacuation zone, do a safety assessment, help the client assemble their essentials, food, water, medications, and items needed in the event of an evacuation or storm damage, lack of electricity, etc. We will ascertain if the client is ambulatory or non-ambulatory, and then compile the necessary physician and drug information forms, as well as arrange for any medical equipment required. Care management services or caregiving services can then be provided per need after assessment.
